4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our websites use cookies, pixels, web beacons, and similar technologies, including those from third parties. These help us:
- Operate and secure the site
- Remember preferences and understand how visitors use the site
- Measure marketing effectiveness
- Support features such as live chat
Examples of tools currently in use (subject to change): Tom’s Toolbox Field Management, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google advertising-related services, Zoho SalesIQ (chat), CleanTalk (spam/bot protection), and similar providers. Some of these may support interest-based advertising.
You can control cookies through your browser settings (block, delete, or receive alerts). Note that disabling certain cookies may limit site functionality. For Google Analytics opt-out, you can use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Industry opt-out tools for interest-based advertising are available at aboutads.info/choices.
We currently do not respond to all “Do Not Track” browser signals in a uniform way because of the lack of industry consensus on their meaning.
5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration in the traditional sense. We may share information as follows:
- With franchisees / local operators — When you request service or an estimate in a specific area, we may share relevant contact and project information with the independently owned and operated Honey Do location that serves that territory so they can respond and provide services.
- With service providers / vendors — Companies that help us operate the website, process forms, provide chat, analytics, email delivery, spam protection, marketing, or other business functions. These parties are required to use the information only to perform services for us and to protect it appropriately.
- Within our corporate family — With affiliated entities under common control, consistent with this Policy.
- For legal and safety reasons — When we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law, court order, or legal process; to protect our rights, property, or safety or that of others; to investigate fraud or security issues; or in connection with a business transfer (merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or similar event).
- With your consent or at your direction — Or as otherwise described in a specific notice at the time of collection.
- Aggregated or de-identified data — We may share information that does not identify you personally.
We do not share SMS/text opt-in consent with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
6. Your Choices and Rights
- Marketing communications — You may opt out of promotional emails by using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us (see Section 11). Opt-out requests will be processed within a reasonable time. Transactional or service-related messages may still be sent.
- Access, correction, deletion — You may request to review, update, or delete certain personal information we hold about you by contacting us. We will respond within a reasonable time as required by applicable law.
- State privacy rights — Residents of certain states (including California under the CCPA/CPRA and other state laws) may have additional rights, such as the right to know categories of personal information collected, the right to delete, the right to correct, and the right to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise these rights, contact us using the information in Section 11. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
- Cookie preferences — Manage via your browser or the tools noted in Section 4.
We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.
7. How We Protect Your Information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children’s Privacy
Our websites are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, please contact us.
9. Retention of Personal Information
We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, to provide services, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements, or as otherwise permitted by law. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and context.
